Dear colleagues,

After more than 10 years of developments, the tree level automatic
calculation programs have demonstrated their usefulness for the LEP,
HERA and Tevatron physics.

Although several specific event generators have been extensively used, the
automatically produced matrix elements can also be embedded in most parton
shower and hadronization packages.

Higher orders calculations in the framework of the upcoming colliders
are required:
(1) to cope with the high precision experiments (LC), not only for
Standard Model processes but also for the search of extended model
signals.
(2) to perform QCD calculations with higher predictive power (Tevatron,
LHC).

It is therefore natural to attempt to extend the tree level technology to
the multi-loop diagrams. Several groups have already developed automatic
calculations techniques for one-loop in the electroweak theory and
NLO(NNLO)-QCD automatic calculations have seen several significant
achievements.

It is a long way and a major challenge to build efficient and reliable
packages adapted and properly interfaced to the experimental analysis.
Many theoretical, experimental and technical aspects must be discussed in
detail. We have, therefore, decided to call for a workshop dedicated to:

      "Automatic Calculation for Future Colliders"
(November 28-30, 2001) in NII (Tokyo).

It will mainly focus on the following issues:

- -	Automatic computation: new technologies, optimizations
        and approximations
- - One-loop calculation in MSSM and beyond
- -	N-points function calculations
- - Multi-loop calculations by automatic systems
- -	NLO event generator
- -	Interface between NLO process calculation and LL parton shower
- -	NLL parton shower generation
- -	Multi-dimensional integration
- -	Parallel system for symbolic calculation, complex tree and
one-loop
diagrams numerical calculation and event generation

Workshop format: 3 days, all plenary sessions and invited talks only.

Approximate program: L=long talk ~ 40+10 min
                     S=short talk ~ 20+10 min
       Day-1 : 2L | 3S | lunch | 3S | 4S
       Day-2 : 2L | 3S | lunch | (open for WG, round table etc.)
       Day-3 : 2L | 3S | lunch | 3S | 4S
   total 6 L, 23 S + rounds tables
